Children of veterans received hundreds of toys at the Bronx Zoo on Friday.
The sixth annual collaboration between the borough president's office and the Bronx Zoo is a way to honor those who make sacrifices to protect American freedom.
More than 200 children received gifts which included Barbie dolls, basketballs and even a foosball table.
Army veteran Ana Rosario came with her young daughter. She says after going through so much in the service, coming to the event makes her feel like people care and that means a lot to her.
