A woman is recovering after she was hit by a truck as she crossed a street in Stamford.
The incident happened on East Main Street Monday night. Surveillance video from a nearby store captured Terryanne Davisson being hit by a pickup truck, which then drove away.
Davisson initially walked away from the collision but was later taken to a hospital.
She says she is still in a lot of pain but feels lucky to be walking around.
Police say they used the surveillance video to locate the alleged driver, Esly Hernandez, at her house. She is being charged with driving without a license and evading responsibility.
Davisson says she hopes Hernandez will be able to help pay her medical bills.
