People in Bridgeport gathered Wednesday to remember those killed by gun violence in 2022.
The Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport hosted a vigil to honor Bridgeport homicide victims and their families at McLevy Green Wednesday afternoon.
They read 16 names, followed by a moment of silence.
Leaders from several faiths offered prayers and attendees also called for an end to gun violence.
The council has been holding the vigil for at least five years.
