Westport and Fairfield were the sites of the quietest parade ever in their respective communities on Sunday morning.
Led by one of the first completely electric police cars in the country, Fairfield's Virtual Green Wheels Expo kicked off with an electric vehicle parade.
The parade began at the Westport/Saugatuck train station and ended at Fairfield's Old Town Hall.
Organizers hope the event encourages Connecticut residents to consider "greening" their ride to help reduce air pollution.
"We know that we're in a climate crisis. We look around us, we see wildfires raging out west, we see destructive storms in the south and East. It's really no time to sit back and wait for others to solve it," says Barry Kresch of EV Club of CT.
The Sustainable Fairfield Task Force organizes The Green Wheels Expo every year.
