Hundreds of volunteers pitched in today to help Sandy victims who live along Jennings Beach in Fairfield.

Many, if not all of the volunteers, had ties to the Fairfield beach area.

The volunteers said they couldn't sit and simply watch as residents worked feverishly to clean up from storm damage.
