Connecticut's Office of the Secretary of the State has released some early voting numbers for this year.
The number of absentee ballots cast in Bridgeport are 73% of September's turnout.
The absentee ballots were the source of controversy as a judge threw out the results of that election finding there were instances of absentee ballot fraud.
Incumbent mayor Joe Ganim lost the race among votes cast on primary day, but surged ahead of challenger John Gomes thanks to the absentee ballots.
It's still not clear what will happen after tonight's vote.
