VOTE 2020: Today is the last day to register to vote in Connecticut

With Election Day a week away, today is the last day to register to vote in Connecticut.
If you're eligible to vote, there are a number of ways to register. If you're registering by mail, your application needs to be postmarked by today.
You can also register online by heading to myvote.ct.gov/register. On that website you can also update your registration, your name, address, party, or check if you're already registered.
In order to register to vote in the state, you need to be a U.S. citizen, Connecticut resident, and turn 18 on or before Election Day.
You'll also need a current and valid driver's license, learner's permit or non-driver photo ID card issued by the DMV, and a signature on file with the DMV.
If you want to register by mail, there's a form you can print out, and mail to your registrar of voters - it will need to be postmarked with today's date.
You can register to vote in-person too by today, with your registrar of voters.
In Connecticut, in-person registration is allowed on Election Day. But remember, you can't just show up to the polls and register. That needs to be done at a designated location, which is typically your city's town hall.
And if you're voting by absentee ballot, your ballot needs to be received by the close of the polls at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
You can put the absentee ballot in a drop box at your town hall, or mail it to the town clerk.
