Family and friends on Tuesday attended the wake for Joseph Comunale, the 26-year-old Stamford man who was killed in New York City last weekend.
Packed services were held at the Lacerenza Funeral Home on Schuyler Avenue in Stamford. At one point, the line to get inside stretched for about a block.
A family friend told News 12 that Comunale did not have a bad bone in his body, and that his murder was senseless.
Two people have been charged in connection with Comunale's murder. Lawrence Dilione and James Rackover are charged with hindering an investigation and illegally disposing of a body.
According to police, Comunale was stabbed 15 times and then buried in a vacant lot in Oceanport, New Jersey. He was last seen on surveillance video entering an apartment building in midtown Manhattan, where Rackover lives.
Comunale's funeral will be held Wednesday morning.
