Fairfield's Penfield Reef Lighthouse is going up for auction, and bidding is already underway.

The 51-foot tall structure was built in 1874 and sits off the coast of Fairfield.

Online bidding will remain open until Aug. 20. Any bid placed in the final 24 hours will extend the auction by another 24 hours.
