Use caution traveling today with scattered lingering areas of ponding possible, but it is drying out and the start of August is looking amazing compared to the end of July.

FORECAST:
TODAY: DRYING OUT, FALL-LIKE FOR A DAY! Spotty light rain showers end, giving way to gradual breaks of sunshine. More refreshing air slowly but surely moves in during the afternoon and evening along with breaks of afternoon and evening sun. A bit windy and cool. Highs around 74 degrees with lowering humidity into the evening. Highs in the low-70sare more typical of late-September. BOATERS: Water conditions can still be rough today, which is why there is a small craft advisory. SWIMMERS: Swimming is not advised at South Shore beaches to dangerous rip currents today.
