Waterbury police: Teen girl killed in crash involving stolen car

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday at East Main and Baldwin streets.

A 14-year-old girl has died following a crash involving a stolen car in Waterbury.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday at East Main and Baldwin streets.
Police say the girl was inside a stolen Hyundai when it slammed into a Ford Escape. She was thrown from the vehicle.
Three other passengers were in the car – all 15 years old – were taken to a hospital.
The driver of the Ford Escape, a 38-year-old male, was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. The passenger, an 18-year-old, has life-threatening injuries.
Police say the Hyundai was stolen in Waterbury prior to the crash.
The incident is under investigation by the Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call 203 346-3975.
