Waterbury teacher accused of leaving kids at home while on vacation arrested second time
A Waterbury teacher accused of leaving her kids home alone while she was on vacation with her boyfriend in Florida was arrested a second time in connection to a domestic violence incident, police say.
Kerry Caviasca was arrested last week in Waterbury for a domestic violence related altercation with an ex-boyfriend for an incident that happened in January, according to police.
This is now the second arrest of Caviasca.
Caviasca was arrested by Watertown Police back in January after police say she left her two children who are both under 12 years old at home alone while she went to Florida.
Caviasca is a Waterbury school teacher and was placed on administrative leave following her first arrest.
She was charged with risk of injury to a minor.
Caviasca teaches at West Side Middle School in the Waterbury school district.
