Watertown police say they are looking for people who are responsible for abandoning a dog at Sylvan Lake Park.

Police say the dog was left in a wire crate with no food or water Monday morning.

Animal Control stepped in and took the dog to be examined.

Police say the dog appeared emaciated and had cuts but is now recovering.
