Westport officials turned Town Hall into a ghoulish house of terror for residents Wednesday afternoon.
The annual Halloween parade celebration was moved to the three-story building due to the rainy weather. Children enjoyed all sorts of fun Halloween activities.
The offices in Town Hall were transformed into trick-or-treat destinations, and the main hall was said to be crawling with local families in the spirit to celebrate Halloween a little early.
The Westport Parks and Recreation Department has been hosting the annual pre-trick-or-treat event for the last 17 years.
Town Hall officials say over 100 children show up decked out in costumes at the event, and sometimes the parents do too.
Organizers say it's a safe way for kids to enjoy the holiday.
