WEATHER TO WATCH: Another soggy Saturday; drier and cooler starting Saturday night

NOW & NEW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Power says more rain and slightly stronger winds are now likely for the rest of Friday. Rainfall will vary through Western Connecticut with up to 1.5" of rain in spots.
NEXT: Low pressure will create a stronger storm offshore into Saturday. This low will depart Sunday with high pressure building in. Rain will continue on and off through the first half of Saturday. The afternoon and evening will be drier. Winds will steadily increase through the day Saturday, with peaks gusts near 35-40 mph. Sunday will be a chilly blustery day. With temperatures in the 50s and wind gusty winds still, it will feel colder. Mostly cloudy to partly sunny, but a few showers may try to sneak back in here.

SUNDAY: Brighter, breezier. High of 60.
MONDAY: Sun and clouds. Cool. High of 58.
