A familiar face returned to Gang Green - but not as a player.
The Jets organization introduced new head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey at its training facility in Florham Park.
"To any players that are here now, put your seatbelts on and get ready for the ride," said Glenn.
Buckle up, Aaron Glenn is back in friendly territory.
"There's nothing better than starting here as a player, here as a scout and now here as a head coach. And I'm ready for it," remarked the new head coach.
"He is a first-round pick all the way through his career up until today," said Jets owner Woody Johnson.
Glenn, a 52-year-old married father of three started his professional career in the Meadowlands, where he played from 1994 to 2001.
After coaching stints in Cleveland, New Orleans and most recently Detroit, he was picked along with new general manager Darren Mougey to lead the team.
"It is one of the greatest honors and privileges of my life to be named general manager of the New York Jets," said Mougey.
Former Jets players Fred Baxter and Wayne Chrebet welcomed their friend and teammate back home.
"Work ethic, you know attention to detail, knowing your responsibilities, doing your job and doing your job well that's what he's going to bring. Because that's his career," said Baxter.
"He believes what he's saying and that's going to be instilled in the players and that's the kind of coach you want," said Chrebet.
"The blood sweat and tears that we shared on that field has been valuable to my success. I love you guys," added Glenn.
The big question left now is what is the future of Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers?
Glenn said they've already been in communication, calling it a roster issue and a process that will not be rushed.
