A West Haven woman is accused of staging an armed robbery at her job, according to police.
On May 24, Milford police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Citgo Gas Station on Broad Street.
Police say the store clerk, 31-year-old Jamie Darouse, reported a man wearing sunglasses, a hat, and face mask entered the store, demanding money and said he had a loaded hand gun.
Darouse gave the money in the register and deposit money, totaling over $8,000.
An investigation revealed that Darouse, along Khari Ruffin and a third person allegedly staged the robbery.
Darouse's charges include larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and falsely reporting an incident.
She appeared in Milford Court on Thursday.
Ruffin, 19, turned himself for his role as the robber and was released on bond on Wednesday. The Waterbury resident is charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny. He will be in court on Sept. 7.
