A Weston man is undertaking a 120-mile walk along one of the busiest, and what some call one of the deadliest, roads in the state to raise awareness about pedestrian safety.
Ray Rauth plans to walk Route 1, the entire length of Connecticut.
Rauth stopped yesterday to meet with people in Stamford.
He says people should be able to walk around their community without fear of getting hit by a car.
Rauth is a member of the Tri-State Transportation Campaign.
He says they plan to talk to local officials about how to make the roads safer for pedestrians, including better sidewalks and crosswalks.
