Westport town officials are reminding those who qualify for the state Renters' Rebate Program that applications are due by Sept. 28.
The program provides income-based reimbursement for seniors 65 and older, the disabled and anyone collecting Social Security.
Anyone renting an apartment, room, mobile home or cooperative housing may be eligible for the program.
The rebate amount is based on an individual's income and cost of rent and utilities. Applicants are also required to have held state residency for at least one year.
