A Westport organization has been helping people document the story of their lives for almost a decade.

Rozanne Gates runs The Legacy Project. Gates says the documentation is done through audio and video interviews. She then compiles all the family information into a book.

Gates says documenting your life story is a valuable tool for family genealogy. She says people may find out something they didn't know about their family.

"Everybody's story is unique and believe it or not everybody wants to tell their story, but nobody is asking the questions,"  says Gates.
