Westport police held a “Coffee with a Cop" at McDonald's on Post Road East Wednesday morning.
They say the event helps them forge a bond with the people they serve.
Popular topics discussed included stolen cars, traffic and speeding.
"Everyone in town, they're complaining about speeding. That's like a top priority so we actually have a traffic unit that is addressing that," said Westport Police Lt. Sereniti Dobson. "We do select enforcement as well to combat that."
Coffee with a Cop began as part of National Community Policing Week in 2016 and now continues each year on the first Wednesday in October.
