Stamford held an open house for Fairfield County health care professionals at the Wheel It Forward library Tuesday.

Wheel It Forward is a nonprofit library, but instead of lending books, they lend medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds and more.

"We're a team of 20 or 30 volunteers who work here every week. We're committed to helping the community and we're committed to growing. We're trying to figure out this space and what we're doing and our goal is to spread this to communities across America," said Elliot Sloyer, CEO of Wheel It Forward.

Sloyer also says Wheel It Forward is looking forward to opening a location in Bridgeport at the end of the year.
