Wildlife experts are warning residents to keep a close eye on their pets after two dogs in Norwalk were attacked and killed by coyotes over the weekend.
Amy Taylor says her two dogs ran off last Thursday. She says she later found her dogs' bodies in the woods.
Taylor says she's concerned for her children's safety as they play outside.
Kristopher Zulkeski, owner of Connecticut Wildlife Management, says he has been receiving more calls about coyotes lately. He says there is a precaution residents can take.
"Overall, just having a presence on your property to keep these coyotes off your property," he says.
State officials say they will decide whether to issue a special permit to hire a licensed trapper to capture the coyotes.
