Thousands of people lost power on this blustery Sunday as the strong winds knocked down trees, branches and power lines.
About 7,000 customers lost power around southwestern Connecticut, utility officials say.
Ridgefield Road in Wilton was briefly closed after a tree came down. Godfrey Road West in Weston was also closed due to fallen trees and power lines.
Compo Road North in Westport was closed for much of the day due to downed wires.
