Two people were arrested after a police chase on I-95 ended in Westport, police say.
The incident happened Thursday just after 2 p.m.
Darien officers along with Darien detectives and Connecticut State Police arrested the driver, Danielle Green, 41, of Waterbury, and one passenger Jonathan Neves, 33, of Waterbury.
Green was charged with engaging in a police pursuit, driving while intoxicated, and operating a car under suspension.
Police say Neves was charged with possession of narcotics and for having drug paraphernalia.
According to police, a motorist traveling south on I-95 observed another vehicle with fresh damage to its exterior.
Once alongside the vehicle, the motorist observed that several men inside the car appeared to be holding a gun to the head of a female passenger as it exited I-95 in Darien.
Police found the vehicle matching the description, but when they attempted to pull the car over it increased speed.
State Police say they observed the vehicle on surveillance cameras and found that it exited I-95 at exit 17 and the occupants were attempting to run from the vehicle.
Police arrived on scene and took all four suspects into custody.
They say they searched the car, but the possession of a firearm was not confirmed, and the two other people in the car were not charged.
