A 91-year-old woman is dead after being attacked by her own dog in Stratford Friday.
Stratford police say Stella Antanaitis called 911 from her home on Judith Terrace minutes after she was attacked.
She was brought to Bridgeport Hospital, and died Tuesday from her injuries.
Police are still working to determine why the dog attacked.
Authorities say it is a Keeshond mix and has no history of aggression.
They say the dog is now being kept at the Stratford Animal Control Facility.
Officials say the dog could possibly be put down in order to test it for rabies.
