A disabled Bridgeport man whose $10,000 wheelchair was stolen gave thanks today for a replacement chair donated by a stranger who saw his story on News 12 Connecticut last night.
Cesar Valentin says his son, who did not want to be named, uses the wheelchair.
He says the smaller electric wheelchair helps his son access the kitchen, bedroom and, most importantly, the bathroom.
Valentin says that with a price tag of just under $10,000, the family would not have been able to afford a new one.
Shelley Puffen, of Bridgeport, saw the News 12 Connecticut report last night and decided to give Valentin a 1-year-old wheelchair that had belonged to her grandfather who recently passed away.
