A woman arrested in Bridgeport after barricading herself in a home and firing shots at a man will be in court today.

Police say they found a loaded semiautomatic pistol in the home of a William Street basement where Nilah Bowie had been barricaded prior to being taken into custody Thursday.

Bowie is facing multiple charges.

Bowie was taken to the hospital for treatment of a cut she received before police arrived.

Police did not say what led up to Bowie refusing to come out of the house.

Her bond was increased to $250,000.
