Police in Norwalk Monday continued to investigate a shooting at a bar that sent a young woman to the hospital over the weekend.
The incident happened around closing time early Saturday morning at the newly opened Market Bar and Bistro on Wall Street.
A bar employee flagged down officers on patrol to let them know about the gunfire.
According to police, the victim was shot once in the torso and is expected to recover, but her attacker ran off.
No arrests have been made.
Police have not yet released a description of the person or disclosed details about what led up to the shooting or the relationship between victim and shooter.
Police say it's not a neighborhood where they are called to often respond.
"Certainly not," says Lt. Terry Blake. "Wall Street is a relatively quiet area, and that establishment is relatively new."
Police say everyone is cooperating with the investigation.
