A Bridgeport woman was sentenced today in a fatal hit-and-run crash that left two people dead.
Felicia Burl apologized in court during her sentencing for the crash that occurred in Stamford in November 2014. A judge sentenced Burl to 10 years in prison followed by 10 years special parole for the accident at the corner of West Main Street.
Police say Burl ran from the scene after running a red light and causing the crash that killed the passenger in her car and the passenger of the other vehicle.
Prior to sentencing, Burl became emotional while apologizing, saying the crash destroyed two families.
