Woman trying to steal purses gets hit by own getaway car

Authorities say the woman was trying to steal several purses at a store on Mason Street. But, she got interrupted by customers so she ran out of the store.

A woman tried to rob a business in Greenwich but only wound up getting hit by her own getaway car on Saturday, according to police.
Authorities say the woman was trying to steal several purses at a store on Mason Street. But, she got interrupted by customers so she ran out of the store.
She and a bystander were hit by a dark colored SUV - her getaway car.
Police say the driver displayed a gun and fled with the suspect.
It is unknown at this time if the suspect was injured, but the bystander suffered non-life threatening injuries.
