Woodbridge residents are becoming increasingly concerned with home safety after seven homes were robbed within the past month.
Police say four of the home invasions occurred at night while the families were sleeping. Five of the more recent robberies are similar to two that took place August 16. The burglar removed screens from unlocked first floor windows and climbed in, according to police.
Some Woodbridge residents were shaken by news of the home invasions and say they will step up security.
Gov. Jodi Rell (R-CT) has created a task force to classify home burglaries that happen at night or in the presence of the homeowner as violent crimes. The task force met for the first time Wednesday.
