Officials from the District Animal Control are investigating a vicious pit bull attack Friday that nearly killed a Yorkshire terrier.Representatives of the DAC say the incident occurred around 3 p.m. Thursday when three pit bulls made their way into the terrier?s owner?s yard. Officials say the mauled terrier was taken to a veterinarian and it has survived.The DAC says the pit bulls, a mother and her two young puppies, are being held in quarantine for the next two weeks.?These are owned animals,? says DAC representative Paul Neidmann. ?There is no reason to be concerned.?Neidmann says this is an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to any members of the public.
