Temperatures have dropped, from yesterday morning to this morning, into the 30s and it feels colder than that when breezy winds are factored in. What a wacky past several days we have had of weather in the Hudson Valley!

We went from near-record warmth to rain & snow showers to chilly conditions. Temperatures will go up towards the mid-40s later this afternoon, but with some winds, it will feel a little colder. There is a chance of some snow showers north of I-84 (Orange & Putnam counties), with a chance of flurries south of that highway, as a weak system passes by to the north later today.

The weekend will keep breezy winds around more times than not. At least the weekend will be dry though, with a mix of sun and clouds to mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be around normal levels, from the mid-40s towards 50 degrees.

A large spring-like storm system will move towards the region overnight Sunday into Monday. This storm will bring rain and wind to the region through much of Monday, with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Temps will rise, due to a southerly rush of wind, towards 60 degrees. But as the cold front attached to this system passes by early Tuesday morning, temperatures will start to go down.

It will be a blustery St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday with temperatures trending into the 30s towards 40 degrees.

Hang in there, milder and nicer days are in sight more times than not. Spring officially arrives next Friday at 10:46 a.m. when the Vernal Equinox occurs.
