A well-known Italian restaurant in the Bronx credits its recipe for success on its recipe for sauce. 

Giovanni's on 579 Grand Concourse is a vibrant locale for traditional Italian fare and pizzas, with a bar, weekend brunch and karaoke nights.

But owners say it's all about the sauce, which is simmered for hours and tastes just like grandma’s.

And customers agree, with their favorite dish being the Giovanni seafood containing; shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari, clams, lobster tail and of course, lots of marinara sauce. 

The restaurant first opened in 1992, and customers say they love coming back over and over again.
