The Gathering of the Vibes Arts and Music Festival began Thursday at Seaside Park.
The festival is comprised of art, food and music. More than 20,000 are expected to attend to see over 50 bands to perform.
Staff say they have stocked up with approximately 100,000 pounds of ice, nearly 7,000 gallons of water, and four 24-hour ice vendors for people to stay hydrated during the extreme heat.
The festival ends Sunday.
