A Bridgeport woman was in court Monday for allegedly conspiring to kill her estranged partner.
Larise King surrendered to police this past weekend.
Police say DaeDae Gray was shot multiple times in the early hours of July 27. They say King conspired to have someone kill Gray.
Witnesses say that King was seen arguing with Gray in the hours leading up to his death. According to the arrest warrants, witnesses claim King said to Gray "you're going to take your last breaths tonight" shortly before he was shot.
The warrant says security footage shows a woman matching King's description getting into the driver's seat of the SUV that carried the two shooting suspects away from the scene.
The family of King did not want to go on camera, but News 12 did speak with Gray's family. They say at times the couple's relationship was tumultuous. They also say the two did have a wedding ceremony but were never legally married. They claim King was mad that Gray had a new girlfriend.
They say they just want justice for their son.
"They're fortunate to go and visit her and whoever else that is going to be arraigned," said Tammy Green, Gray's mother. "I have to go to the graveyard to visit my son."
Police say there are still arrests to be made in this investigation.
King will be in court on Oct. 8. Her bond was set at $1 million.
