An installer from Spectrum Cable was in court Friday, after being accused of inappropriately touching a woman inside her home while he was on the job.
The alleged incident happened Sunday at a North Terrace Avenue home in Mount Vernon.
Police say 23-year-old Nahyime Goldson, from the Olinville section of the Bronx, made an unwanted sexual advance toward the woman after installing her cable. Court documents allege that Goldson touched the woman's inner thigh, hand and shoulder.
They say he allegedly refused to leave after the installation and made sexually explicit comments to the woman.
Goldson allegedly locked the woman in a bedroom, pulled her onto a bed and refused to leave without her phone number, according to police.
Residents in the area say they are concerned.
"You're expecting someone reputable to come and do a service you pay for, as far as cable goes and the rest is out the window," says Pamela Mujica, of Mount Vernon.
It is unknown what Goldson’s current status is with the cable company, or if he has a prior record. He is facing charges of burglary as a sexually motivated crime.
Goldson is due back in court next month.
