Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim announced Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Agriculture got funding to help Connecticut landowners affected by Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Irene.
The program will help purchase the permanent easements on eligible land, and restore the area to natural conditions.
Anyone who wants to be considered for the program must complete an application by Oct. 10.
