Firefighters from across the state are joining the town of Orange in remembering the community's longtime fire marshal.

A wake was held Friday night for Tim Smith, who died in a one-car accident in Woodbridge Sunday.

The chief of the town's volunteer fire department, Vaughan Duma, says he has many "pleasant memories" of working with Smith.

Smith's funeral will be Saturday at Holy Infant Church in Orange.

Police say detours will be in place to allow for a procession from Cody White Funeral Home in Milford to the church prior to the service.
