Man accused of killing Fairfield couple appears in court
The man accused of killing a Fairfield couple in their jewelry store two years ago appeared in court Wednesday.
The pretrial hearing for Chris DiMeo took place at the Fairfield County Courthouse on Main Street in Bridgeport.
DiMeo allegedly shot and killed Tim and Kim Donnelly during a robbery of their jewelry store in 2005. He pled not guilty to the charges.
DiMeo was recently extradited to Connecticut from New York, where he is already serving a life sentence for murdering a Long Island jeweler. The judge decided to continue DiMeo?s hearing next month while lawyers explore some legal issues regarding his extradition to Connecticut.
The pretrial hearing has been rescheduled for August 29.
