Workers at two McDonald's rest stops off I-95 in Connecticut have received $870,000 in backpay after a labor dispute.
The State Labor Department says the owner of those McDonald's has paid back pay to 264 of its workers in Fairfield and Darien.
Officials say the employees were told to perform tasks that were beyond the pay rate assigned to their jobs.
The checks ranged from $13 to nearly $13,000.
