Westport Parks and Recreations says there won't be lifeguards on duty during the week at Burying Hill Beach, effective immediately.
That means from Monday through Friday, the area will be unguarded.
There will be lifeguards on the weekend from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Labor Day.
However, there will be lifeguards every day until Labor Day on Compo Beach.
Beach emblems are required through Sept. 30.
