An investigation is underway into what happened with absentee ballot voters in the Bridgeport Democratic mayoral primary earlier this month.
Members of the state Election Enforcement Commission heard from attorneys Monday in Hartford after state Sen. Marilyn Moore's campaign filed paperwork with the secretary of the state.
Moore's team says voters were given absentee ballots who did not request them and claims certain groups -- like senior citizens and the disabled -- were targeted.
Moore lost the primary to Mayor Joe Ganim on Sept. 10 by less than 300 votes. News 12 reached out to the Ganim campaign for comment but did not hear back.
Bridgeport Town Clerk Charles Clemens has also been ordered to turn over documents on absentee ballots.
