Thousands of residents across Connecticut are coping with continued power outages, days after Tropical Storm Isaias walloped the area.
As of Friday evening, United Illuminating was reporting that over 18,000 customers were still in the dark.  It said it expected its customers to be back online by Monday. UI said it also added extra crews today to help with restoration efforts.

Eversource was reporting slightly less than 236,000 outages remaining as of Saturday evening.
Under increasing scrutiny for its response to Isaias, Eversource has unveiled a portal to let customers see when their power is expected to be restored.
It shows when Eversource anticipates the day and time towns will be restored.
Eversouce says most towns listed won't be on the grid again until Monday or Tuesday.
According to a release from the utility Sunday, 90% of affected customers were expected to be restored by Sunday evening.
