Wilton police nab Miami duo accused of credit card scam
Wilton police say two suspects from Miami are facing charges for a credit card scam across the East Coast.
Police arrested Velenica Gamble and Evens Rosemond after a U.S. postal inspector alerted cops when learning that credit cards were being sent to various addresses without customer consent.
Authorities say they then caught the two going into local mailboxes and arrested them. They had been allegedly targeting four mailboxes on Snowberry Lane.
A victim says that Bank of America helped her protect herself and her neighbors by warning them of the suspicious activity.
Police say Gamble and Rosemond were released on bond.
