One person was injured and 12 other people were displaced after a Friday night fire at a rooming house in Milford.

Fire officials say it happened at the Brismont Lodge rooming house at 79 North St. around 8:40 p.m.

Everyone inside was able to get out when crews arrived. One was sent to the hospital to be treated for burns on their arms.

The cause of the fire had not been determined as of Saturday evening.

The American Red Cross was called to offer assistance to residents.
