Police say a 21-year-old woman was killed early Wednesday morning after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Westport.
According to police, the truck was slowing down due to stop-and-go traffic in a construction zone when Kendall Turek drove into it at around 1 a.m. After hitting the truck, Turek's car slammed into a guard rail. Authorities believe speed was a factor in the crash as Turek negotiated a curve in the road.
Troopers say Turek was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they will conduct a full investigation.
