Officials say that two dangerous felons have escaped from the Maple Street Halfway House in Bridgeport in the past two months.

One of the felons allegedly attempted to hold up a grocery store after leaving the house, and murdered a clerk.

Police say that the halfway house residents are permitted to leave during the day to find work, but must be back in the house at the end of the day.

Both of the felons have since been caught and put behind bars.
