Two people were sent to the hospital after a fire broke out inside a Bridgeport market.
The incident happened at Bombon's Market LLC on Wade Street Thursday after 9 p.m. shortly after the owner of the store closed his business for the night.
Fire officials say they had to cut through the front metal security doors of the building to fight the fire.
The fire was quickly knocked down and officials say two people living in apartments next door to the market were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Fire did not spread to a neighboring Chinese food restaurant and surrounding buildings.
Officials say the cause of the fire is being investigated. The owner of the market says his business is likely destroyed.
